Alexandra (Alex!) Jimenez, is a Chicana print-maker, illustrator, graphic designer and fourth generation Tucsonense. Her familial history in Tucson has grounded her work and given her a strong sense of place. She uses photography, illustration, and design to create works of art that speak to her heritage and sense of community. Alex completed a degree in Animal Sciences from Cornell University and returned to Tucson to complete a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communication. She has received grants from the Arizona Commission on the Arts in 2015 and 2017 and the Arts Foundation of Southern Arizona in 2016 and 2018.
